Opened in Soho in 1929 by brothers Ennio and Isidoro Camisa, 'Fratelli Camisa' was one of the city's first authentic Italian provisioners. In 1948, after World War Two, the brothers moved from Old Compton Street to Berwick Street. This beautiful shopfront illustration by John Griffiths captures the iconic Soho institution in 1959. This illustration is part of a series celebrating distinctive shop windows for the art publication Motif, edited by Ruari McLean and printed by the Soho publishers the Shenval Press. The Mainstone Press are delighted to issue this new limited edition print with the permission of the Griffiths Estate alongside others by the artist.
